Sodium Valproate Debate.19/10/2017
This MP spoke very passionately #sodiumvalporate
However, there is no 'cure' for Epilepsy to date. He has been one of the lucky ones, whose seizures have been completely eradicated for whatever reason. While many forms of epilepsy require lifelong treatment to control the seizures, for some people the seizures eventually go away. The odds of becoming seizure-free are not as good for adults or for children with severe epilepsy syndromes, but it is possible that seizures may decrease or even stop over time.
This speech in House of Commons Thursday 19th October 2017, excellent and heartwarming. I would say it's not Epilepsy Sufferers' but someone with Epilepsy. The statement about Sodium Valproate curing him of Epilepsy, a bit misleading in my personal view.
The drugs only suppress the seizures don't cure them. He did indeed speak very passionately about sodium valporate, concerning the ambiguity of information to child bearing females.
