Epilepsy Awareness 'shout it out'

Some people with epilepsy have 'asleep seizures', (sometimes called 'nocturnal seizures') that happen when they are asleep, as they are falling asleep or as they are waking up. Frontal lobe epilepsy is a type of epilepsywhere seizures can commonly happen during periods of NREM sleep as well as during the day.

My boy just shouted "mum" short time ago. Knew the dreaded "seizure" has struck from sleep. Managed to get him before he fell from bed. He's settled now. Even after all these years seeing his body twisted and distorted like this horrible. You're helpless to epilepsy until the seizure has run its course. He had his rescue med. He will sleep now.
