Refractory Epilepsy

My Son Lewis first seizure 7 months old. Has Refractory Epilepsy which he had a Hemispherectomy of the right side Parietal Lobe 2006.

He was in the 30% criteria where seizures were not controlled.

Surgery was last resort as nothing to lose. This decision was not taken lightly. As his mum had to give him an acceptable quality of life. My decisions were questioned by family and siblings.

I say 'walk in my path' What would you do?

Epilepsy is not Normal and should not be Normalised!
